Rivals in Red Columbia, SC

  Back in August I had the good fortune to do a live drawing at the Rivals in Red Manchester United vs. Liverpool thanks to local arts and culture non-profit One Columbia and Experience Columbia. I walked around the event for a bit, taking pictures that I would later use for reference to stitch together a new composition representing the entire exciting experience of comradery among rivals throughout the event. Even when the storm clouds opened up on us, everyone maintained high spirits taking shelter from the rain. The whole project was a unique challenge in creating spontaneous art. The size of the final drawing was accomplished using pencil, micron pen, brush pen and watercolor on 11x17 bristol board.
